On August 2, 2019, Shanghai BORNDENT Technology Co., Ltd. announced the completion of its Series D financing round, with investors including Legend Capital, Qiming Venture Partners, and Xiamen C&D. Previously, BORNDENT had received investments from IDG Capital, Source Code Capital, Qiming Venture Partners, Sunshine Insurance, Shanghai Health Industry Fund, and Gopher Asset, among others.
Founded in 2009, BORNDENT is a platform-based company providing "integrated" services to dental institutions. From dentist education and training, to the introduction of advanced foreign technologies, to domestic independent R&D and manufacturing, the company is committed to building a brand-new, healthy dental ecosystem through "industry + internet", elevating China's dental technology and industry standards, empowering dentists to succeed, and safeguarding the oral health of 1.3 billion Chinese people.
Hundreds of representatives from dozens of BORNDENT partners across multiple provinces and cities attended the event, themed "Gratitude & Empowerment", to discuss the strategic development of the BORNDENT Dental Group business community and the Series D financing announcement.
The Series D financing announcement was jointly launched by special guest Mr. Shi Xiaoping, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park; Mr. Wang Jianfei, Managing Director of Legend Capital; Ms. Shen Yaping, Deputy General Manager of Xiamen C&D Group Co., Ltd.; Mr. Yu Zhengkun, Founding Partner of Source Code Capital; Mr. Tian Fangjun, Founder and Chairman of BORNDENT Dental Group; and Mr. Wang Lixin, President of BORNDENT Dental Group.

Mr. Shi Xiaoping, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park, then delivered a speech, highly affirming BORNDENT's positive impact on the local economy and employment in Changzhou, while also welcoming and encouraging more outstanding enterprises like BORNDENT to establish operations in the region.
Wang Jianfei, Managing Director of Legend Capital, stated that healthcare has always been a key focus area for Legend Capital's investment. Dentistry is one of the fastest-growing segments of the healthcare industry. BORNDENT has deep expertise in the dental field with unique advantages in industry layout, product technology, and market presence. After ten years of development, several of its products rank first in domestic market share, international market expansion is progressing smoothly, and the introduction of and collaboration on advanced international technologies has driven product upgrades and industry advancement. Legend Capital hopes to work with BORNDENT through strategic cooperation to jointly promote the development of the dental industry.
