From May 11 to May 12, Associate Chief Physician of Orthodontics, Department of Stomatology, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen UniversityProfessor Mai Zhihuidelivered an insightful lecture as the instructor for Class A.
Drawing on his experience from thousands of clear aligner cases, Professor Mai provided an in-depth analysis of the correct treatment approaches for different case types. Key topics included treatment planning and clinical monitoring for clear aligner therapy in cases of crowding with extractions, bimaxillary protrusion, skeletal Class II malocclusion, skeletal Class III malocclusion, and significant molar mesialization. He also explained strategies for managing the roller coaster effect.
Through continuous interaction, exchange, and case discussions, Professor Mai Zhihui helped refine the case design thinking of the attending doctors. The immersive learning approach allowed each participant to enhance their professional skills during the session.

From June 5 to June 6, Chief Medical Officer of Chongqing Weile DentalProfessor Chen Jun,provided a detailed explanation of the anatomical structure of the TMJ in Class B, sharing techniques for analyzing TMJ abnormalities through imaging changes. He also analyzed and interpreted common TMD symptoms encountered in clear aligner therapy, such as clicking, pain, and limited mouth opening.
In addition, he delivered in-depth lectures on key topics in children's whole-periodic orthodontic treatment, including achieving the mid-term goals of occlusal guidance and muscle balance in early intervention, correctly utilizing functional orthodontic appliances to reach stage-specific objectives, and evaluating joint factors in mandibular advancement with clear aligners.
His solid clinical foundation and exceptional communication skills made the learning process engaging and effective. All attending doctors were able to apply their knowledge in practice, building on the expertise of experienced mentors to efficientlyenhance their professional competence and take responsibility for their patients.
