Course Highlights
During the course, surgeon, cardiologist, and full professor of human anatomy Guido Macchiarelli; full professor at the University of L'Aquila Giuseppe Marzo; PhD in Experimental Surgery and holder of a Level II Master's in Orthodontics from the University of L'Aquila Vincenzo Quinzi; Professor of Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics Enrico Marchetti; member of the Italian Orthodontic Society, the Roth Williams International Orthodontic Society, and the Italian Dental Association Francesco Paolo De Luca; Associate Professor of Human Anatomy Serena Bianchi; and Associate Professor of Human Anatomy Sara Bernardi, along with several other Italian instructors, took turns delivering lectures to the visiting students.
The students engaged in hands-on practice during the training. The learning process began with the diagnosis of malocclusion, followed by the development and discussion of different treatment plans based on the patient's age, type of malocclusion, and various techniques.
The five-day curriculum covered all orthodontic issues in adolescents and adults, ranging from transverse to sagittal, and finally to vertical problems, in addition to the application of TADs, miniscrew placement, and extraction versus non-extraction treatment approaches.

-Dr. Fu Jianhong, Orthodontic Technical Director of Arrail Dental North China, with professors-
The professors introduced numerous diagnostic methods, treatment protocols, and personalized approaches used in orthodontic treatment. They also taught the doctors how to properly integrate key anatomical structures of the oral and maxillofacial region to develop a comprehensive orthodontic mindset, thereby achieving optimal treatment outcomes.
For the orthodontic course targeting patients at peak growth stages, the instructors employed the most innovative sequential treatment protocols, reviewing clinically common malocclusions in chronological order and providing targeted treatments.
The course also covered topics related to permanent dentition patients (i.e., adolescents and adults), focusing on periodontal and orthodontic issues, with a comprehensive treatment approach aimed not only at aesthetics but also at function and rehabilitation, achieving a complete stomatognathic system.

-Group photo of participants-
The participants gained in-depth knowledge of early orthodontic treatment for children during this course. The program also provided a valuable learning opportunity for all attending doctors, boosting their confidence in diagnosing and treating early orthodontic cases in children and deepening their understanding of the significance of early intervention. We believe that in the future, these participants will bring confident and healthy smiles to more children across China.
